After two years of struggling to resist unleashing my girly side around the house, (which my husband would argue I haven't been 100% successful at) I was finally allowed to unleash the beast! And trust me, that is just what I did! I wanted the space to be light and whimsical, but not pristine. I love incorporating old pieces with the new, and using different textiles wherever possible.
I am loving these modern rag dolls! I wanted more, but had to hold back, because I know eventually baby girl will be picking out all kinds of dolls herself! But I figured a little starter trio from her mama wouldn't hurt.
I am so in love with this recliner! (Special thanks to my amazing mother and father in law for gifting this to Hazel!) We decided to get a recliner this time, because 1. We can comfortably sleep in it if baby girl ends up having any reflux and requires all night snuggles, 2. A recliner will be practical later if we want to move the chair to another part of the house.
Okay, so I have to tell you the story of this glass container on the right! I have had it for a few years now. It was my great Uncle Elmer's, and it's actually an old "Nabisco" cookie jar! I am so glad I can use it for baby girl's room, and right now it holds more bows (of course).
And of course, one more bow holder for her clips! I know it looks like I'm slacking in the clip on bow department, but based on the boys' and my hair history, I think she has at least a year and a half before we could even begin to try and clip anything on her head. But don't worry, baby girl, mama has nice thick hair now!
